He Met Mary For The First Time In 2nd Grade. 

Vili Fualaau was born on June 26, 1983, to parents Luaiva and Soona Fualaau. He started studying at Shorewood Elementary School and met Mary Kay Letourneau for the first time in 2nd grade. In 1996, he started his 6th grade at the age of 12 and also took personal classes at Mary’s, where they got romantically linked.

In June 1996, He Celebrated His 13th Birthday 

In June 1996, Vili Fualaau turned 13. By that time, he was good friends with Mary’s elder son, named Steve. Vili got interested in Mary first, as he said in an interview that he always wanted to make her feel happy and surprise her by trying new things every day. The same year, they got arrested for being in a van allegedly involved in a sexual act, but later proved their innocence. 

At First, They Wanted To Keep Their Relationship Private

After coming under the eye of the police, Vili and Mary decided to keep their relationship private, without knowing that in the future it would be considered child rape. They continued their romantic relationship and ended up expecting their first child. Later on, Mary got sentenced to jail for six months but only served three months and was ordered to stop making contact with Vili.

But Mary didn’t step back and started a relationship with him again, which caused Mary to get pregnant for the second time with Fualaau’s child. 

Mary was now sentenced to several years, and while in jail, she gave birth to Audrey. She got released in 2004 and parted ways with her first husband, after which Vili exchanged wedding knots with her at the age of 21. 

Their Wedding Was A Grand Event, Where They Invited Around 250 People

Mary and Vili’s wedding was held in Washington. There were around 250 people, their daughters, and two children from Mary’s previous marriage. They later sold their wedding pictures to the media and started living a blissful life in Seattle. But unfortunately, in 2020, Mary left this world at the age of 56 on July 6.
